Our Role
|
The Bellevue PTSA Council represents and supports the 30 PTAs in the Bellevue School District and develops leadership skills. The Council is a member of Region 2, one of 15 regions in the state of Washington. Together, we are the Washington State PTA.
Our membership meets monthly, usually on the first Monday of the month, at 9:30 am. The PTSA Council meetings provide local unit representatives the opportunity to hear from and talk with district administrators and with one another and to receive other information of interest to the students, families and PTSA units in the Bellevue School District. |
Our Mission
|
The Council advocates for children on relevant issues at the local and state level. The mission of the Bellevue PTSA Council is to support and strengthen our local units through the adoption of best practices and leadership development. We train, mentor, and facilitate information exchange between and among our local units, school district, and community organizations. We promote parent involvement by providing a district wide forum for discussion and action on issues that affect our children. We work in partnership with the Bellevue School District, Bellevue Schools Foundation, and the community at large to promote the welfare of children and families in the home, school, and community.
