Join us for a presentation from Education Advocate, Larry Davis on
Love, Understanding and Other Best Practices for Education Advocacy

It is time for a major shift within the old paradigm, because "Us versus Them" fails on so many levels. Love, Understanding, and Other Best Practices provides an uplifting perspective on advocating around the intervention process of Special Education, Gifted Education, ELL, and any other time where communication and working in partnership is necessary.  We are in the midst of a major cultural shift, where transparency and authenticity determine how we relate to one another. As a result, this workshop takes the intervention process to a new paradigm; one based upon promise, possibility, and cooperation, in contrast to resource scarcity and adversarial relationships.  Larry’s talk will highlight the following themes:
•   Emotions Often Get the Worst of Us!
•   Mutual Understanding: The Platform for True Partnership
•   Evidence Based Decision Making: Moving from Opinion to Fact
•   Strength Based Intervention: Building Upon What Already Works
•   Transparency: Open Hearts and Open Mind
