Legislative Assembly 2020

Picture
  • Who:  Any PTA member can attend, including students!  There are a certain number of voting delegate spots available from each PTA, but you can attend without being a delegate.  Advocacy and Legislative Chairs, this is your time to shine!
  • What:  Legislative Assembly 2020.  Please find more information here:  https://www.wastatepta.org/events-programs/legislative-assembly/
  • When: September 29-October 25, 2020, through your favorite computer or tablet.
  • Where:  Your Home or other favorite virtual meeting space, utilizing the Zoom platform.
  • Why:  Our membership will be setting our Legislative Priorities for the next TWO YEARS.  This is your opportunity to make your voice heard as we come together to determine WSPTA’s priorities and help direct our Legislative Consultant’s time over these next legislative sessions.
  • How much:  $25/adults, $10/Students.  Registration is open, and you need to be signed up by October 8th, 2020.  However, to attend the caucusing sessions, you will need to be registered before they take place.  Students should contact support@wastatepta.org to get signed up.
  • IMPORTANT:  Caucusing and education sessions will look different this year, and will begin September 29, BEFORE the main Legislative Assembly meetings, taking place October 24-25.  This is the time to learn about the issues and propose amendments.
  • We can’t wait to see you, Region 2 attendees!
