budget committee (special committee)
The budget committee prepares the proposed budget for the PTA year and submits it to the board for approval and to the general membership for adoption.
Family and Community engagement (FACE)
This committee promotes programs and resources to attract inclusiveness in our diverse communities. The committee reviews and updates family and community engagement resources and communications to members.
health and wellness
The health and wellness committee promotes awareness and programs concerning health and safety issues that affect the child, and it promotes programs for parents regarding the same. Examples include: promote activities and programs around health and safety issues, keep families informed on important health and safety issues in your area, work with families, school district and the community on a variety of health and safety programs.
nominating committee (special committee)
Typically a short-term committee to select nominees for the following year’s officers. The nominating committee is elected by the membership at a general meeting. If you'd like to volunteer for this committee, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
standing rules committee (special committee)
Reviews Council's Standing Rules to ensure they are meeting the needs of the PTA and drafts language for amendments.
financial review (special committee)
This committee is appointed by the president to audit or perform a financial review to certify the accuracy of the books and records of the financial officers and to assure the membership that the Association’s resources/funds are being managed in a businesslike manner within the regulations established for their use. The financial review is presented to the board of directors, who consider each finding and suggestion from the committee. Once the board has reviewed the findings and decided on any action to be taken because of the financial review, the board reports to members.
