Alice Hurd Memorial Scholarship
(Outstanding Community Service)
The Alice Hurd Memorial Scholarship is generously funded by a trust established by the Hurd Family to honor their wife and mother, Alice Hurd. She was a tireless and enthusiastic volunteer in PTA, and an outstanding child advocate. In recognition of her volunteer spirit, an Alice Hurd Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior from each of the Bellevue high school who has gone above and beyond in service to the community, and contributed a substantial number of  community service hours.  The $1000 scholarship will be paid directly to the U.S. college or university that the recipient is attending to cover the cost of tuition, or room & board.
